Health and well being - Free sexual healthcare for students
Shoolini University is committed to promoting the health and well-being of its students. We offer courses related to sexual and reproductive health as part of our educational curriculum. Additionally, we provide bi-weekly on-campus OPD (Out-Patient Department) checkups, which are free for all students, through a collaboration with MMU (Maharishi Markandeshwar University). This ensures that students have access to essential healthcare services.
In addition to these healthcare services, Shoolini University has established a dedicated Sexual Harassment Committee to address and prevent issues related to sexual harassment. We take these matters seriously and are committed to creating a safe and supportive campus environment for all our students.
Furthermore, we regularly conduct workshops and seminars to raise awareness among our students about sexual and reproductive health, consent, and related topics. These educational initiatives are aimed at providing students with the information and resources they need to make informed decisions and maintain their well-being.
At Shoolini University, we prioritize the holistic development and welfare of our students, and these initiatives are part of our ongoing efforts to ensure their physical and emotional health and safety.
2023
Shoolini University provides students access to sexual and reproductive health-care services, as well as related information and education. The university organizes various initiatives, such as:
- Workshops on Prevention of Sexual Harassment: These workshops, like the one led by Advocate Shalini Sharma, offer information on the legal aspects of sexual harassment, prevention, and how to seek help from government resources.
- Health Check-up Camps: The university organizes free medical check-ups in collaboration with MMU, Solan, covering various health issues including gynecology. These events, like the Women's Day Health Check-up Camp, ensure that students have access to important medical services, including those related to reproductive health.
- Awareness Campaigns: During events like Pink October, the university actively raises awareness about breast cancer, self-examination, and the importance of early diagnosis, targeting both male and female students to foster a community-wide understanding of health issues.
