Shoolini University has established a comprehensive Disaster Management Policy (2025) to strengthen institutional preparedness, climate resilience and coordinated responses to natural and human-induced disasters. Recognising its location in the Western Himalayan region, classified under Seismic Zone IV, the policy prioritises risk assessment, earthquake-resistant infrastructure, landslide prevention, fire safety and emergency preparedness. It adopts an integrated disaster management framework encompassing prevention, mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery, supported by clearly defined institutional responsibilities and coordination with government authorities and local stakeholders. Key provisions include emergency response planning, early-warning arrangements, safety training, evacuation procedures and emergency relief support, including temporary shelter, food, drinking water and healthcare assistance. Through coordinated implementation by the Directorate of Operations, Estate and Construction Department and CEEST, the University aims to safeguard human life, infrastructure and environmental resources. This proactive framework reinforces institutional resilience and advances UN Sustainable Development Goal 13 (Climate Action) through disaster risk reduction, climate adaptation and preparedness.

The university has an official Disaster Management Policy which is publicly available and directs all concerned activities of the university to take into account sustainable practices, energy efficiency and climate change mitigation. The university has been conducting awareness activities on disaster management since 2019. The university also has a dedicated Centre for disaster management research.
