School of Bio-engineering and Food Technology

Bioengineering applies engineering principles of design and analysis to biological systems and biomedical technologies. Food Technology integrates and applies knowledge within the disciplines of Microbiology, Chemistry, Engineering, Biology and Nutrition to preserve, process, package and distribute foods that are healthy, affordable, desirable and safe to eat. A growing brand of food science, it involves aspects of processing, preservation, preparation, selection, distribution, etc.

The university fosters student success through academic mentorship, hands-on learning, cutting-edge research, all within a beautiful natural environment.

We have a distinguished faculty from top national institutes and universities of Food Technology. The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), Government of India, has sponsored the food technology infrastructure. Students are assigned individual mentors right from the first year for their minor and major projects during the program.

The progress of the work is reviewed at regular intervals. International collaborations for student exchange program include Ankara University, Turkey and Çankırı Karatekin University, Turkey.

BSc Nutrition and Dietetics 3 years 10+2 (in any stream) with minimum 55% marks.
B Tech Biomedical Engineering 4 years 10+2 (in any stream) with minimum 55% marks.
B Tech (LEET) Biotechnology 3 years Diploma in Biotechnology or related subject with minimum of 50% marks.
B Tech (LEET) Food Technology 3 years A diploma in any field of engineering or technology with minimum of 55% marks.
B Tech Food Technology with Summit Research Program 4 years 10 + 2 (PCM/PCB) with minimum 75% marks.
B Tech Biotechnology with Summit Research Program 4 years 10+2 in PCM/PCB with minimum 75% marks.
MSc Nutrition and Dietetics 2 years BSc in any stream with minimum 50% marks.
PhD Food Technology 3 years Master’s degree in Food Technology/ Life Sciences or Physical any other related discipline with minimum 55% marks.
B Tech Food Tech (Agriculture) 4 years 10+2 (in any stream) with minimum 55% marks.
