Total volume of water used in university
2023
Shoolini University actively tracks its total campus water consumption, sourced from several resources. The university draws a total of 290 cubic meters per day (m³D) from three main sources: six bore wells (160 KLD), the IPH water supply (100 KLD), and spring water (30 KLD). To reduce water use, Shoolini employs drip irrigation and emphasizes reusing water wherever possible. The campus supports a peak residential population of 5,500 people, including students and staff, with an additional floating population of around 1,000. Daily per capita water usage is approximately 57.14 liters, amounting to 400,000 liters, which is well below the National Building Code of India (NBC) standard of 135 liters per person.

2022
Shoolini University keeps the measurements of the total volume of water consumed on the campus that is taken from various resources. Shoolini extract a total of 290 m3D water from three resources i.e., six bore wells (160 KLD), IPH water supply (100 KLD), and Spring water supply (30 KLD). The total peak residential population including students and staff at the campus is 5500 persons and the floating population of the campus is about 1000 persons. The water consumption per person (including students, staff, and faculty) on campus is 400000 Liters @ 57.14 liters/person. This is quite lower than the National Building Code of India (NBC) standards (135 Lts/person). The university is highly focused on the processes of reusability of water extracted water resources. Shoolini use drip irrigation to reduce the consumption of water.
