Outreach Programs
Shoolini University has undertaken a range of health outreach initiatives aimed at enhancing and broadening access to healthcare. These endeavors comprise blood donation camps, YouWeCan camps, webinars and guru talks on yoga, cleanliness drives at various locations in the vicinity of Solan, participation of all university schools in Swachta Pakhwada to promote cleanliness, raising environmental awareness, and organizing various awareness campaigns on topics such as cancer, AIDS/HIV, and drug addiction.
A new initiative of keeping the campus clean has also been started by Shoolini Shanivaar Swachhata Sena (SSSS) who plan to get into action of cleaning the campus and surrounding area every week. The students allocated themselves different areas and started their work. A huge amount of paper glasses, cups and plates were found in the grounds. The SSSS team also created various posters for awareness and put them on social media urging everyone to act responsibly.
Throughout the year, Shoolini University dedicated numerous visits to Manav Mandir (IAMD Hospital), where students generously devoted their time to bring joy and happiness to young patients grappling with muscular dystrophy. The students participated in a variety of activities, including dancing, singing, and reciting poetry during festivals like Holi and Diwali, as well as on various other occasions. Their efforts were aimed at brightening the lives of these children and putting smiles on their faces through their voluntary contributions of talent and companionship.
These activities have directly and indirectly improved health outcomes of individuals and communities.
2023
Shoolini University has current collaborations with local, national, and global health institutions to improve health and wellbeing outcomes. For example, it organized cancer awareness events in collaboration with experts like Dr. Sumedha Kushwaha, conducted blood donation drives with Indira Gandhi Medical College and PGIMER, and partnered with MMU, Solan for medical check-ups. The university also works with the YouWeCan Foundation to raise cancer awareness and supports Muscular Dystrophy centers for social outreach. These initiatives demonstrate its commitment to promoting health and wellbeing in the community.
