Shoolini University demonstrated its commitment to systematic energy management and the identification of energy wastage during 2025 through certified energy assessments, periodic reviews and targeted energy-efficiency interventions. The University's ISO 50001:2018 Energy Management System certification, awarded by Quality Austria, provides a structured framework for monitoring energy performance and promoting continuous improvement. During the year, an external assessment by a Quality Austria representative on 20 November 2025 further supported the evaluation of institutional energy-management practices. Under Energy Review-I, conventional lighting in the A-Block Conference Room was upgraded to rechargeable LED fixtures, complementing the campus-wide adoption of 20-watt LED lighting across approximately 95% of campus lighting, with estimated energy savings of 55–60%. Energy Review-II at Good Host Space Hostel resulted in the replacement of conventional electric fans with energy-efficient alternatives and the installation of anti-suicide safety rods. Faulty and non-functional electrical switchboards were also replaced to improve electrical safety, reliability and operational efficiency. Furthermore, the University strengthened its environmental accountability through systematic monitoring of Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with the GHG Protocol and recognised emission-factor guidelines. The 2025 emissions assessment reported combined Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions of 1,421.921 metric tonnes of CO₂ equivalent, providing an important basis for future energy-management interventions and emission-reduction planning. Collectively, these initiatives reflect Shoolini University's commitment to responsible energy utilisation, infrastructure optimisation and evidence-based environmental management, contributing to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy).

According to its emissions report, the university tracks its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and electricity consumption under the GHG emissions protocol, covering both direct emissions (Scope-1) and indirect emissions (Scope-2). Additionally, Shoolini University has an ISO 50001:2018 certification for its Energy Management System, which includes systematic reviews aimed at improving energy efficiency and identifying areas of potential energy wastage. This certification ensures compliance with international standards and involves regular audits to maintain effective energy management practices.
