Energy efficiency plan
The university chalked out a comprehensive plan in 2019 to reduce energy consumption. It started by replacing most conventional electric appliances with five-star energy saver appliances. Additionally, several sensors were installed to auto cut-off when not in use. Similarly, sensors were also installed in certain appliances to control luminosity as per the requirement. Solar lights and panels are in place on the campus.
2023
Shoolini University has an energy efficiency plan in place to reduce overall energy consumption, implemented as part of its Energy and Environment Policy adopted in 2019. Key initiatives include replacing most conventional electric appliances with five-star energy-efficient ones, installing sensors to automatically cut off unused equipment, and implementing luminosity-adjusting sensors in specific areas. Additionally, 95% of lighting has been converted to 20-watt LED tubes, and solar-powered streetlights have been added throughout the campus. New PTC heaters and an 8kW heat pump system were also installed in the international hostel to enhance energy efficiency in water heating and air heating. Through these steps, Shoolini University has taken active measures to optimize energy use and improve sustainability on campus.
