Energy Efficiency
Shoolini University is committed to an innovative and effective energy policy with effect from 2019. Under this, all buildings are renovated, designed, and constructed as per energy efficient solar passive and environment-friendly technologies. A related Environment Policy is also operational, under which measures on green campus, plantations, waste management, including wastewater treatment and recycling is carried out.
This premier institution of learning is working on ‘waste to energy projects’ to address energy and environment related issues. The university has constructed energy efficient mud and wooden two-storey huts at Yogananda Ville, using traditional eco-friendly materials without the use of cement, concrete and steel. This is cool during summers and warm during winters.
A Centre of Excellence in Energy Science and Technology has been established on the campus to implement the Energy and Environment Policies and impart quality education, research, and technology development in the sectors of energy, environment and climate change.
Shoolini University is being giving special emphasis to the clean energy research. Affordable and Clean Energy Cite Score is 38.9% (Publications in Top 10% Journals)
