Selected Researchers: Prof Deepak Kumar, Associate Professor Gaurav Gupta, & Assistant Prof Lokender Kumar

Faculty members at Shoolini University have secured a prestigious research grant of Rs 50 lakh from iHUB DivyaSampark, a Technology Innovation Hub. This grant is part of a collaborative initiative between the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, and IIT Roorkee.

Designed to encourage innovation and pioneering research, the grant will support five notable research projects associated with iHUB Shoolini. These projects have been skillfully coordinated by Prof Deepak Kumar, who serves both as the iHUB Shoolini coordinator and a Professor at Shoolini University's School of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The funded projects span a wide range of innovative areas, each with the potential to bring transformative changes to its respective field.

Prof Deepak Kumar expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “An expert committee from various IITs evaluated the proposals, which were then presented at IIT Roorkee. Based on the committee's recommendations, these five projects from Shoolini University were selected to receive the Rs 50 lakh funding through iHUB Divyasampark, in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.”

The faculty members selected for this distinguished grant include Prof Deepak Kumar from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences; Associate Professor Gaurav Gupta from the Yogananda School of AI, Computers, and Data Sciences; and Assistant Professor Lokender Kumar from the School of Biotechnology, Faculty of Applied Sciences and Biotechnology.

These scholars are set to spearhead groundbreaking research in diverse areas such as Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML), drone technologies, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Their projects aim to have transformative applications in agriculture and medical sciences. With their dedicated efforts and visionary approaches, they have the potential to enact significant changes that could impact both national and global landscapes.

iHUB DivyaSampark, a cutting-edge Technology Innovation Hub, was established in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee. The hub is committed to nurturing innovation and offering financial backing for transformative research projects in various fields. Chancellor Prof PK Khosla, Pro-Chancellor Vishal Anand, and Vice-Chancellor Prof Atul Khosla all joined in congratulating the selected faculty members.
