Patents
Shoolini University has more than 1300 patents to its name till date. These patents are collectively filed by the faculty and students of the institution. We follow a one-student one-patent policy, where every student is encouraged to file at least one patent. This policy has contributed to the rankings that Shoolini has achieved so far.
Shoolini University is ranked No.1 in India for citations per paper in the QS World University Rankings (Asia). Over time, it has become one of the leading institutions in the country, alongside IITs and IIMs, for patent filings. As per the Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs, Trade Marks, and Geographical Indicators, Shoolini is also the 3rd highest patent filer in India.
With these patents, our researchers are addressing various global challenges, such as healthcare, environmental issues, agriculture, and more. We have modern resources including 104+ state-of-the-art laboratories, 10 centres of excellence, and significant support from the Government of India through grants and funding. Lab of the Himalayas
Located strategically in the Himalayas, Shoolini University is deeply committed to research focusing on the Himalayan region. As an active participant in the Himalayan University Consortium (HUC), Shoolini serves as a vital link between Indian and international universities interested in studying the flora of the Himalayas. With a significant collection of over 100 patents centered on Himalayan plants, Shoolini is well-positioned to facilitate collaboration within academia. The university's research efforts prioritise the Himalayan region's sustainable development and economic growth. The research potential of Shoolini University has been recognised by various National and International funding agencies like DBT, DST, ICMR, DRDO, etc., who have funded various competitive research projects.

At Shoolini University, we place special emphasis on the quality of publications where research papers authored by our faculty members and students are featured. To achieve this, we actively encourage them to submit their work to publications approved by Scopus.
