Representatives from the Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) visited Shoolini University recently, strengthening the foundation for global academic collaborations. The delegation's visit is expected to pave the way towards future academic exchange programmes and joint research initiatives.
The delegation from QMUL, which holds the #120 position in the QS World Rankings, included Anne Ropiquet, Senior Lecturer of Biosciences and Director of Postgraduate Taught Programmes, and Clare Burke, Head of Global Partnerships and Opportunities. Their discussions at Shoolini University focused on exploring educational and research collaborations, including student and faculty exchange programmes and dual degree offerings.
During the visit, Anne Ropiquet engaged Biotechnology students with a lecture on the role of bioinformatics and artificial intelligence in marine conservation, particularly in rescuing sea turtles. Additionally, special sessions were organised for students interested in pursuing postgraduate programmes such as MSc Bioinformatics, MSc AI in Biosciences, and MSc Biotechnology, among others.
Clare Burke held discussions with key figures, including Office of International Affairs Deputy Director Rozy Dhanta, focusing on strengthening ties in the Global MBA programme and expanding international student opportunities.
Shoolini University Founder Chancellor Prof PK Khosla expressed enthusiasm about the visit, reaffirming the university's commitment to international collaboration and global exposure for its students and faculty. Rozy Dhanta echoed this sentiment, highlighting ongoing efforts to establish a robust partnership with Queen Mary University that promises rich knowledge exchange and innovative research opportunities for both institutions.
