Milestone ranks Dr Pardeep Singh among the top environmental scientists in India and the world.

Professor Pardeep Singh, Head of the School of Advanced Chemical Sciences at Shoolini University, has achieved a major career milestone by crossing 25,000 citations on Google Scholar. This remarkable feat places him among the most influential environmental scientists globally and reflects the far-reaching impact of his research.

With 324 SCOPUS-indexed publications, an h-index of 90 and an i-10 index of 268, Prof Singh has consistently contributed groundbreaking work in environmental remediation. His research addresses critical challenges in water and wastewater treatment, focusing on graphene-based photocatalytic materials, bio-waste-derived activated carbon, and zero-valent iron-based remediation methods for pollutant removal. These innovations hold promise for scalable, sustainable solutions to pressing environmental problems.

His achievements have been recognised with numerous awards, including the Top 2% Scientist Award by Stanford University for six consecutive years (2019–2024), the Young Academician of the Year Award (2018), and the Best Scientist Award 2023 by Careers360. Earlier in his career, he was honoured with the Young Scientist Fast Track Award from SERB-DST (2013–2016). As per bibliometric data from Research.com (27 November 2024), he is ranked 15th in India and 2244th globally among the Best Chemistry Scientists.

Beyond his research, Prof Singh contributes to the global scientific community as a reviewer for prestigious journals such as Desalination, Journal of Hazardous Materials, and ACS Catalysis. He has also been involved in the development of 22 patents, demonstrating his commitment to translating research into practical applications.

Talking about the milestone, Prof Singh said, “Reaching 25,000 citations is a proud moment, but more than the numbers, it is the real-world impact of our work that matters. Every paper, every experiment is aimed at finding cleaner, more effective solutions to environmental problems. I am grateful to my colleagues, students, and Shoolini University for providing an environment that supports high-quality research.”

Founder Chancellor Prof PK Khosla congratulated him, saying, “Prof Pardeep Singh is a brilliant scientist and a role model for our academic community. His global recognition, dedication to environmental research, and commitment to mentoring the next generation of scientists make him a true asset to Shoolini University.”

With this milestone, Prof Singh further strengthens Shoolini University’s standing as a hub for impactful, globally recognised research.
