A celebration of joy, talent & unforgettable moments that captivated hearts and minds

Moksh 2024 was a journey of joy, talent, and unforgettable moments that kindled the hearts and minds of students and faculty alike. It commenced at Shoolini University on March 15th with ‘Harmony of Pines’, featuring the electrifying performance of The Himachal Police Orchestra. The excitement continued with a stellar show by stand-up comedian and Shark Tank India host Rahul Dua, leaving everyone in stitches with his witty humour. Closing the extravaganza was DJ Aerreo, who had everyone on their feet, dancing to the beats of chart-topping hits.

The event began with an award ceremony, where winners of the ‘Women of Substance’ competition organised on International Women’s Day were honoured. Hasiba, a PhD student from Afghanistan, and Vidya, a B Tech CSE student from Rajasthan, were each awarded a cash prize of Rs 10,000 and crowned as ‘Women of Substance’.

The highlight of Moksh was the fiercely contested fashion show — Ramp Walk Competition, featuring 13 participants vying for the coveted titles. Ange, an MBA student, and Sidhi, an MSc Yoga student, were crowned Mr and Miss Moksh 2024, respectively. Hanisha Sharma from B Tech Biotech was also recognised as the best performer. Their achievements were celebrated with trophies and prizes sponsored by merch., the Shoolini merchandise.

Other competitions included Adikala, adding to the vibrancy of the festival. In Adikala’s inter-college competition, Degree College, Solan grabbed the first position in the Nati competition, with Green Hills College as the second runner-up and SILB as the first runner-up.

Individual competitions saw Ahana Nath, an MA Journalism student at Shoolini University, winning the singing competition and Sneha Tomar securing the first prize in the folk art competition.

Moksh saw an explosion of entertainment with a diverse lineup of performances. There were performances by Saksham Dance Club that added to the enthusiasm. For rap lovers, Rapper and Ex-MTV Hustle Contestant from Solan, Rap ID, delivered a captivating performance, setting the stage for subsequent acts.

The excitement continued on the second night with a concert by Bollywood singer Shahid Mallya. His soulful renditions, including Kudmayi and Ikk Kudi, transformed the evening into a celebration of music and joy. 

The grand finale of Moksh featured singer-songwriter, guitarist, performer & music producer Harpreet Singh who lit everyone’s heart with his self-composed songs. Then renowned comedian Rahul Dua had the audience in splits with his hilarious stand-up act, spreading laughter and cheer all around. Following this was an electrifying EDM night featuring DJ Aerreo. His pulsating beats and rhythms kept the crowd grooving late into the night, marking the perfect conclusion to an exhilarating festivity.

Not only did the students enjoy Moksh 2024, but the faculty and staff as well, ensuring it will remain etched in everyone’s hearts until the following year.

Dean Student Welfare Poonam Nanda said, “Moksh 2024 has truly been an extraordinary celebration of talent and creativity. The performances by Harmony of Pines HP Police and our celebrity guests have added immense value to the overall experience, creating memories that will last a lifetime.”

Shoolini Chancellor Prof PK Khosla, Shoolini Institute of Life Sciences and Business Management President Saroj Khosla, Pro Chancellor Vishal Anand, Trustee and Director Nishtha Shukla Anand, Chief Learning Officer Ashoo Khosla, and President (Innovation and Marketing) Ashish Khosla, along with Director of Placements and Admissions Avnee Khosla also joined the festivities.
