Five faculty members and non-teaching staff members of Shoolini University were awarded The Golden Rudraksha awards 2022 at a glittering event held on Friday.
The annual awards have been instituted to recognise the dedicated faculty and staff members who are committed to their work and conduct it with sincerity. The winners are selected through an independent process, which includes student votes, eUniv analytics, and executive votes.
There was merriment and celebration in the air as Research and Development Dean Prof Sourabh Kulshrestha received the award for Best Leadership. Dean Student Welfare Poonam Nanda and Dean Management Sciences Prof Kuldeep Chand Rojhe were the runners-up. The seven finalists were, Ajay Khanna, Prof Anuradha Sourirajan, Prof Kesari Singh, Brig SD Mehta (retd), Dr Pankaj Vaidya, Prof Rohit Goyal and Prof Deepak Kapoor.
Associate Professor, School of Bioengineering and Food Technology, Dr Pankaj Kumar Chauhan received the Golden Rudraksha award for the best faculty. Assistant Professor Dr Chander Mohan and Associate Professor Dr Neeraj Gandotra were the runners-up. The seven finalists were, Dr Amar Rao, Dr Namita Gandotra, Dr Somesh Sharma, Dr Nitika Thakur, Dr Prachi Kapil, Dr Hemant Sharma and Dr Azhar Khan.
Prof YS Negi, MD Sharma, Dr Kamal Kant Vasisth, Het Ram, and Manish received honorary degrees for their contributions to the university.
Dr Amar Raj Singh Suri won the Shoolini Teaching Companion award, with Prof Rohit Goyal coming in second. Ankur Bashar and Dr Shalu Sehgal were the runners-up. This award was given for explaining the most difficult topic in the simplest and most student-friendly way possible.
Dr Pradeep Kumar received the eUniv Star Performer 2022 Award. The eUniv star performers were chosen after an in-depth quality check of the previous academic session’s consolidated eUniv analytics report as well as the faculty’s video lectures. The runners-up were, Dr Avinash Kumar, Sushil Kumar, Dr Gaurav Gupta, and Ruhi Thakur.
Anshul won the award for Best Staff in Non-Teaching Category. The top seven finalists in this category were, Alice, Kaushalya Devi, ND Sharma and Neelam Thakur, Balbir Singh Sharma, Prem Bhatti, Ishwar Das, Samuel David and Satish Kumar.
Chancellor Prof PK Khosla, President Saroj Khosla, and Pro Chancellor Vishal Anand felicitated and congratulated the winners at the prize distribution ceremony. Avnee Khosla and Dr Ashoo Khosla were also present. Speaking on the occasion, Chancellor Prof PK Khosla said the awards encouraged employees to work with dedication and determination throughout the year.
