Students, staff and guests came together for cultural performances and reflections on constitutional values

Shoolini University marked the 77th Republic Day with a campus-wide celebration that brought together students, faculty, staff, and guests. The day gave everyone a chance to reflect on the principles of the Indian Constitution and their role in the choices we make as citizens. 

The celebration began with a flag-hoisting ceremony led by Founder-Chancellor Prof PK Khosla, in the presence of Trustees Mr Satish Anand and Mr Ashok Anand. Senior functionaries present at the event included President and Chief Innovation and Marketing Officer Prof Ashish Khosla, Director Planning Prof JM Julka, Director Operations Brig SD Mehta (Retd), Dean of Student Welfare Prof Neeraj Gandotra, Chief Learning Officer Dr Ashoo Khosla, and SILB Founder and President Mrs Saroj Khosla. 

The chief guests were Director (Research), Association of Indian Universities, Dr Amrendra Pani; Senior Lecturer, LN Girdhari Lal Senior Secondary School, Chandni Chowk, Vishaan Kumar Kaushik; and Advocate Amit Kumar Singh.  

Students presented a series of cultural performances, including patriotic songs and dances that highlighted unity in diversity. The lively presentations kept the audience engaged throughout the celebration. A performance by the university’s housekeeping staff stood out during the programme and received warm appreciation from the audience for its sincerity and energy. 

Addressing the gathering, Prof PK Khosla spoke about the relevance of the Indian Constitution in everyday life and encouraged students to practise democratic values through informed and responsible action. In his address, Dr Amrendra Pani spoke about the role of education, research, and ethical leadership in building an inclusive and forward-looking society. 

Prof Ashish Khosla thanked the guests, faculty members, staff, and students for organising the event. He noted that such occasions helped the university community reflect on India’s constitutional journey while reinforcing a sense of unity and discipline on campus. 

The vote of thanks was delivered by Prof Neeraj Gandotra, who spoke about the importance of youth participation, social responsibility, and collective effort in shaping the nation’s future.
