Gurukul Global School, Chandigarh, clinches first prize in Grand Finale
The third edition of Q?riosity 2024, Shoolini University’s national quiz competition, concluded with a record-breaking 25,000 students from over 500 schools across India.
Organised by the Bodh Club and co-powered by Ideas That Matter, the event brought together some of the brightest young minds from Grades 10, 11, and 12, showcasing their talent and knowledge in a fiercely contested series of rounds.
Gurukul Global School, Chandigarh, clinched the first prize in the Grand Finale, while BCM Arya International School, Ludhiana, secured the second position, and Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Mandi, bagged the third prize. The competition’s inclusivity drew students from diverse academic streams, creating a dynamic and enriching environment.
Q?riosity 2024 began with three online rounds conducted on Shoolini University’s exclusive Q?riosity platform, narrowing down the massive pool to 30 semi-finalists. Quarter-Finals were held in virtual mode via Zoom, leading to the selection of six exceptional finalists who competed in the eagerly awaited Grand Finale.
The finale commenced with a traditional Saraswati Vandana, seeking the blessings of the Goddess of Knowledge. Founder Chancellor Prof PK Khosla delivered an inspiring address, motivating the finalists to pursue excellence and innovation. Prof Ashish Khosla, President and Chief Innovation & Marketing Officer at Shoolini University and Prof Munish Sherawat, President and Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences at Shoolini University, also addressed the audience. Lightening the mood, Prof Sherawat conducted an interactive audience quiz, where winners got chocolates.
The finalists represented leading schools from across the nation. Bhavya Rawal of BCM Arya International School, Ludhiana, competed as Team A; Anshika Singh of Sunbeam School, Varanasi, as Team B; and Arnav Nayyar of Gurukul Global School, Chandigarh, as Team C. Representing Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, were Sarthak Kapoor of Takshila International School (Team D), Satvik Thakur of Saraswati Vidya Mandir (Team E), and Aditya Sharma of DAV Centenary Public School (Team F).
Prizes were awarded to the top performers, with the champion receiving an Apple iPad. The second and third-place winners received OnePlus Nord smartphones, while runners-up were awarded smartwatches.
