Shoolini University recently welcomed Indian film and theatre icon Rajit Kapur to a special session discussing the importance of incorporating theatre-based techniques in teaching to enhance student engagement.
Kapur, renowned for his portrayal of Mahatma Gandhi in the critically acclaimed film ‘The Making of the Mahatma’ shared his invaluable insights and experiences with the faculty members. He emphasised the need for teachers to creatively engage with their students, both physically and mentally, to ensure a stimulating learning environment.
Kapur also highlighted the significance of voice modulation in teaching, emphasising the impact it can have on student engagement and learning. He further touched on the importance of a teacher's physical appearance and engagement with students, stressing the need for educators to be approachable and relatable.
