MS Swaminathan School of Agriculture Advertisement for Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the post of one (1) JRF in a Research Project under the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) - The Start-up Research Grant (SRG) scheme.
Project title: “Evaluation of Rapid and Nondestructive On-site Assay of Pesticide Residues by Raman Spectroscopy on the Surface of Selected Perishable Fruits and Vegetables”.
Duration of Project: Fixed term until 24th Feb 2024 (2 years).
Name of the Post: Junior Research Fellow
Essential Qualification: M.Sc. (Environmental Science/Agricultural Entomology/Agricultural Chemicals/Zoology/Food Nanotechnology/Biotechnology/Chemistry) with experience in pesticide residue analysis, spectroscopic data interpretation and statistical analysis of spectroscopic data. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills and experience in writing research publications. Preference will be given to NET (UGC/ICAR/CSIR) qualified candidates.
Age Limit: 32 Years
Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/Women and 3 years for OBC.
Emoluments: Rs. 31,000 INR per month + HRA
Candidates possessing the requisite qualification and experience need to appear before the selection committee for an interview. Women candidates are encouraged to apply. The post will be terminated as and when the project will be terminated by the funding agency. This is purely a temporary position.
