Vivek Atray

Vivek Atray, formerly an IAS officer, is a multifaceted professional known for his roles as a Motivational Speaker, Author, Mentor, Advisor, Columnist, and Visiting Professor. With a diverse background, he resigned from the Indian Administrative Service in 2017 to pursue his varied interests.

 

Vivek is renowned for his impactful talks, having delivered 8 TEDx Talks and 5 popular JOSH Talks. Notably, his interview with Ranveer Ahlabadia, also known as Beer Biceps, garnered significant attention.

 

As the founder of SUVICHAR Think Tank and Chair of the Yogananda Centre for Theology at Shoolini University, Vivek is deeply engaged in academia and thought leadership. Additionally, he has founded several organisations including the Vibrant Networking Forum, Playwrite Foundation, and Chandigarh Literary Society.

 

He actively contributes to various sectors, addressing audiences on topics such as Leadership, Good Governance, Emotional Intelligence, and Entrepreneurship, among others. His engaging speaking style has left a lasting impact on audiences across India and internationally, including prestigious events organised by HORASIS, NASSCOM, CII, and more.

 

An accomplished author, Vivek has penned novels like ‘Move on Bunny!’ and ‘Dubey ji Bounces Back,’ along with a fortnightly column titled ‘Random Forays’ for the Hindustan Times. His recent books include ‘IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE’ and ‘FINDING SUCCESS WITHIN.’

 

In his previous roles, Vivek served as Director of IT and Tourism, where he played a pivotal role in establishing the Chandigarh IT Park and spearheading the award-winning e-SAMPARK project. His initiatives as DC Panchkula included Village Mentoring and Aadar Samman (Respect for the Elderly), showcasing his commitment to community development.

 

Beyond his professional endeavours, Vivek has a passion for cricket, organising the annual All India JP Atray Cricket Tournament since 1992. With a background in Electronics Engineering from NIT Kurukshetra and proficiency in French, Vivek is a well-rounded individual whose favourite book is The Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda.
