Shikha Sood

Shikha Sood is an Assistant Professor at the Chitrakoot School of Liberal Arts. She holds a master’s degree in Sociology from Panjab University, Chandigarh. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Liberal Arts, and a storyteller and educator with over 15 years of experience conducting interactive workshops and learning sessions for students, parents, and teachers across schools and universities. 

Her work focuses on using storytelling and case studies as powerful tools for learning, reflection, communication, and personal growth. Through engaging and thought-provoking sessions, she helps participants develop deeper perspectives on life, relationships, values, and self-understanding. 

At the university level, she regularly facilitates experiential learning sessions and workshops with undergraduate and postgraduate students. Through stories, narratives, and real-life case studies, she encourages reflective learning, dialogue, critical thinking, and meaningful classroom engagement, which are central to the philosophy of Liberal Arts education. 

Program Design & Academic Initiatives Program: 

As part of the Liberal Arts academic ecosystem, Shikha also contributes to the design and curation of experiential learning initiatives and interdisciplinary academic programs on campus. 

She has been actively involved in planning and curating summer academic programs that expose students to research, innovation, and hands-on learning experiences. 

Key Initiatives: 

Summer Patent School 

A program designed to introduce students to innovation, intellectual property, research thinking, and the journey from ideas to patents. 

Summer Lab Program 

A program that provides students with hands-on laboratory exposure, scientific exploration, and experiential learning in research environments. Through her work, she continues to create platforms that nurture curiosity, creativity, and reflective learning, helping young learners connect academic knowledge with real-life experiences, which lies at the heart of a Liberal Arts education.
