Nisha Kapoor is an Associate Professor at Shoolini University. She is an academic and media professional with over 12 years of higher education experience, specialising in New Media and Mass Communication.
Assoc Prof Nisha holds a PhD in Journalism and Mass Communication from the Centre for Advanced Media Studies, Punjabi University, Patiala. She is UGC NET qualified and earned a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in 2012. She holds a Master of Mass Communication degree from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application (PGDCA) from MCRP University, Bhopal.
In addition, Assoc Prof Nisha is the Public Relations Officer for Shoolini University. In this role, she manages media relations for the university, ensuring extensive coverage in Solan and Shimla.
Assoc Prof Nisha has worked as an Assistant Professor at Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab, where she was also Department In-charge and supervised postgraduate dissertations. She was a Guest Lecturer at Himachal Pradesh University in 2012.
Beyond academia, Assoc Prof Nisha has significant media experience, having anchored live shows on politics and sports at Doordarshan Kendra Shimla (DD Shimla) and freelanced for The Times of India in 2010-2011. Her contributions extend to journalism education, regularly delivering guest lectures at various institutions.
Assoc Prof Nisha's expertise, coupled with her leadership in media relations and education, makes her a dynamic presence in both academic and media spheres.
