Abhishek Sharma

Abhishek Sharma is an Associate Professor at the Shoolini Business School, Shoolini University. He holds a PhD in Management from Jiwaji University, Gwalior, and is a qualified Company Secretary from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. His academic background also includes a BCom (Hons) from the University of Delhi and an MA in Economics from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut.

He brings over 20 years of professional experience in corporate finance and financial strategy, with deep expertise in liquidity management, financial statement analysis, and variance reporting. He currently serves as an Associate Vice President at NatWest Group, where he specialises in financial analysis and business strategy. Earlier, he held leadership roles at HSBC, managing liquidity across multiple regions, and at the Royal Bank of Scotland, where he led initiatives related to cost control, forecasting, and financial performance management. 

Assoc Prof Sharma’s professional strengths include regulatory and statutory reporting, capital adequacy, and financial compliance within global financial institutions. He has a proven track recordof process optimisation, stakeholder engagement, and delivering actionable insights that enhance operational efficiency and business outcomes. 

At Shoolini Business School, Assoc Prof Abhishek Sharma integrates industry expertise with academic rigour, contributing to practice-oriented learning and preparing students for leadership roles in finance and management. 

His other significant engagements include:  

• Finance master and Mentor for Masters’ Union Gurugram, mentoring the PGP Rise program (PG course for working professionals). 
• Development of course curriculum specifically for NMIMS, Mumbai.
• Visiting Faculty for IMT CDL since 2015, for Subjects like Economics, Business/Corporate Laws, Industrial/Employee relations, IPR laws etc.
• Running an online upskilling program on ‘Corporate Accounting’ for Skill Mantra a leading Edtech start up engaged specifically for Finance and accounting skills.
• Other engagements include visiting faculty for AMITY university Noida for Business laws and Jaipuria school of business Indirapuram, Ghaziabad for sessions on Skill based finance.
