
Yaksha Verma
Teaching Associate
Yaksha Verma is a dedicated researcher and academic professional specialising in chemistry, nanotechnology, and environmental sustainability. At Shoolini University, she actively contributes to advanced research in functional nanomaterials and environmental remediation.
She earned her PhD in Chemistry from Shoolini University, with her doctoral research focusing on the Fabrication and Characterisation of Hydrogels, Xerogels, and their Composites for Environmental Detoxification. Prior to this, she completed her MSc in Chemistry (Gold Medalist) from the Central University of Himachal Pradesh and her BSc (Chemistry Hons) from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla.
Her research expertise lies in the design and synthesis of nanocomposites, hydrogels, xerogels, and advanced functional materials, with applications in photocatalysis, adsorption, water purification, and organic catalysis. She possesses extensive hands-on experience with advanced characterisation techniques including HRTEM, XRD, XPS, SEM, EDX, TGA, BET, AFM, and UV-Visible spectroscopy.
She has authored 20+ research and review papers in reputed international journals, including high-impact SCI-indexed publications, demonstrating her strong contribution to the fields of materials chemistry and environmental science. Her work primarily focuses on developing sustainable solutions for pollutant removal and wastewater treatment. In addition to her research contributions, she actively participates in national and international conferences, workshops, and training programs, reflecting her commitment to continuous learning and scientific advancement. Her work aims to bridge the gap between advanced materials research and real-world environmental applications, contributing to sustainable development and clean technologies.
