Teaching Associate

Jayati Sharma is a teaching associate at the School of Advanced Chemical Sciences. She completed her PhD in Physics from Shoolini University, where her research focused on the synthesis of bismuth-rich oxyhalide-based heterostructures for the photocatalytic degradation of organic pollutants. 

Prior to this, she earned her MSc in Physics from Shoolini University and BSc (Hons) in Physics from the Central University of Himachal Pradesh.

Her research interests include nanomaterial synthesis, semiconductor heterojunction engineering, photocatalysis for environmental remediation, and wastewater treatment.

 She has extensive expertise in advanced material characterisation techniques such as XRD, FESEM, HRTEM, UV-Vis spectroscopy, XPS, and photoluminescence analysis. Her work significantly contributes to sustainable energy and environmental solutions through innovative photocatalytic systems.

She has an impressive publication record with numerous research papers published in high-impact international journals, including Journal of Environmental Management, Materials Today Sustainability, Chemical Engineering Research and Design, and Journal of Photochemistry and Photobiology A. Her research has garnered strong academic recognition, reflected in her Google Scholar metrics (h-index: 10, citations: 300+). She has also contributed to review articles and interdisciplinary research in environmental and energy applications.

She is a recipient of the Chancellor’s Fellowship at Shoolini University and has been awarded the Best Poster Award at an International Conference on Sustainable Energy and Environment organised by MANIT Bhopal. She has actively participated in various national and international conferences, workshops, and training programs, enhancing her academic and research exposure.

In addition to her research contributions, she has filed multiple patents in the area of advanced photocatalytic materials, demonstrating her commitment to innovation and practical applications of scientific research.

With strong analytical skills, hands-on laboratory experience, and proficiency in scientific data analysis and academic writing, she continues to contribute to cutting-edge research in nanotechnology and environmental sustainability.
