Vinay Chandel is an Assistant Professor at Shoolini University. He earned his PhD in Food Technology from Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Solan (India), with and M Sc in Post Harvest Technology and BSc in Horticulture.
His research primarily focuses on the extraction and characterisation of pectin from apple pomace, exploring its applications as a food additive and alternative feed supplement for animals. His innovative work in this field has led to several utility patents and a strong portfolio of high-quality research articles and book chapters published in prestigious SCI and Scopus-indexed journals.
Asst Prof Chandel has qualified the ASRB National Eligibility Test (NET) in Food Technology. With over five years of experience in research and teaching, he has made significant contributions to both academia and industry.
Asst Prof Chandel teaches courses such as Fruit and Vegetable Processing, Bakery and Confectionery Technology, Techniques of Food Processing, and Food Quality Assurance. His dedication to teaching and his extensive hands-on experience in food technology have made him a respected and passionate educator.
