Shubhra Goyal

Shubhra Goyal is an Assistant Professor at the School of Biology and Environmental Science. She holds a PhD in Environmental Science from Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Solan. Her doctoral research examined the impact of climate variability on understory vegetation across different forest types in the Solan district of Himachal Pradesh, contributing to the understanding of ecological responses to changing climatic conditions in Himalayan ecosystems.

Asst Prof Goyal completed her Master’s degree in Environmental Science and her Bachelor’s degree (Honours) in Forestry from Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry. Her academic interests include environmental science, forest ecology, climate variability, renewable energy systems, environmental impact assessment, and sustainability studies.

At Shoolini University, she is actively involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in environmental science and related disciplines. She mentors students in research projects and academic coursework and contributes to curriculum development and revision in alignment with UGC guidelines and contemporary environmental research priorities.

In addition to her academic role, she holds significant administrative responsibilities within the university. 

Asst Prof Goyal also serves as the Nodal Officer for course data management and regulatory coordination with the Education Regulatory Commission of Himachal Pradesh. In this capacity, she facilitates course approvals, manages regulatory documentation, and acts as a liaison between academic departments and regulatory authorities to ensure institutional compliance with statutory requirements.

Beyond academia, Asst Prof Goyal has experience in data analysis and project management through her work in the private sector, where she developed data-driven reporting systems and operational tools using advanced analytics. This interdisciplinary experience strengthens her ability to integrate analytical approaches with environmental research and academic administration.

Her research contributions include work on energy consumption patterns and rooftop solar power potential in Himalayan urban environments, reflecting her interest in renewable energy and sustainable resource management.

Through her combined roles in teaching, research, and academic administration, Dr. Goyal contributes to advancing environmental education, sustainability research, and regulatory governance in higher education.
