Ritu Panta is an Assistant Professor at the faculty of legal sciences. She holds a PhD in Criminal Law from Himachal Pradesh National Law University( HPNLU) ,Shimla. Prior to this, she completed a Master's degree in Law (LLM) from the University of Delhi, India and Bachelor of Law (LLB) from Himachal Pradesh University.
Asst Prof Panta’s research interests encompass Jurisprudence, Criminal Law ,Family Law, Constitutional Law,Gender Studies, Victimology, Legal Philosophy,Migration and Refugee Laws. As a researcher her endeavour is to make a critical study on various aspects of the rights of disadvantaged sections of society. She also served as Asst Editor in an International Law Book Company, in Delhi in 2013. Besides this, she has trained judicial service aspirants and provided them necessary guidance.
She has also qualified UGC NET (Law) in 2018. She was appointed as a Permanent Member of the Lok Adalat in Hamirpur district, Himachal Pradesh, in 2018. Beyond academia, she is actively involved in various social welfare initiatives. She participates in various motivational sessions and socio-spiritual awareness programs .
