Nisha Kumari is an Associate Professor of Psychology in the School of Biological and Environmental Sciences. She earned her PhD in Psychology from Panjab University, Chandigarh, and holds a Master’s degree in Psychology from Guru Nanak Dev University. She also has a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Panjab University.
Assoc Prof Kumari has a strong background in mental health counselling and psychotherapy. Previously, she has worked at some top universities in India and the e-learning platform, Counsel India. Her career also includes a role as Professor of Eastern Psychology at the National University of Medical Sciences (Spain, USA, Panama), where she developed and taught courses on Eastern psychological traditions. She currently contributes as a Prompt Engineer at Soul AI, working on AI-driven psychological solutions.
With extensive experience in counselling individuals of all ages, Assoc Prof Kumari has worked with the Chandigarh Child and Women Development Corporation and Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management. She is also an active researcher, publishing work in prominent journals on topics such as self-identity, social interaction, and mental health.
A passionate educator and researcher, she is fluent in English, Hindi, and Dogri. She enjoys exploring psychological literature and expressing her creativity through painting.
