Deepika Sood serves as an Assistant Professor at the MS Swaminathan School of Agriculture, focusing on teaching and research in Plant Pathology. She obtained her Doctorate in Plant Pathology (Agriculture) from Dr Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, Solan HP. 

With a diverse professional background, Dr Deepika previously worked at IFFCO Kisan Sanchar Limited KCC as Farm Tele Advisor (FTA) in Nauni, Solan HP (2018-2019), and as a Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Plant Pathology at Dr Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni (2022).

She has actively participated in 10 national and international seminars, conferences, symposiums, and training sessions. Dr Deepika has also contributed to the academic community through research papers published in reputable national and international journals. 

Her research expertise lies in managing bacterial and fungal plant diseases using bio-control agents, abiotic resistance inducers, and green-synthesized copper nanoparticles. Currently, her research focuses on identifying, studying variability, and managing plant pathogens, aiming to contribute to the sustainable management of plant diseases in agricultural settings.
