Charanjit Singh is an Adjunct Professor at the School of Media and Communications at Shoolini University. He brings over 40 years of diverse experience in journalism, broadcasting, public relations, and startup mentorship.
He served as an assistant editor for a Haryana State government magazine and as a public relations manager for a German company. He is also an independent public relations strategist.
A gold medalist in his postgraduate degree in Journalism from Panjab University (1978-79), Prof CJ Singh also holds a master's degree in English literature. He is among the few individuals in India to possess the Accredited Public Relations Professional certification, having achieved top marks in the all-India examination conducted by the India Foundation for PR Education & Research in 1989.
Prof CJ Singh is an Associated Certified Coach (ACC) from Erickson College Canada, affiliated with the International Coaching Federation.
In 2004, he co-founded RadioBuzz, a radio production house, and the TakeOne Academy of Broadcasting, well before the rise of FM radio in India. He also co-founded India’s first Startup Accelerator Chamber of Commerce (SAAC), where he holds an advisory position.
Actively engaged in various professional organisations, he serves as the senior national Vice President of the Public Relations Council of India and has held leadership roles in the Chandigarh Management Association and The Executives Club. His contributions have been recognised with numerous awards, including the PR Hall of Fame at the 3rd Global PR Meet in Bengaluru (2009), the National Golden Triangle Award in Hyderabad (2010), the Fellowship of Brains Trust from the Association of Business Communicators of India (2010), and the Rotary International Avenues of Service Award (2021). In addition to his teaching role, Prof CJ Singh has also been a visiting faculty member at several universities in the region, sharing his expertise and passion for communication.
