PRISM (Preservation and Promotion of Rights, Identity, Gender and Sexuality through Manoeuvring and Motivating LGBTQIAP+ Youth) is not just a club; it's a force of change, working to transform our society. Formerly known as Shades of Love, we aspire to create a safe space for and to educate people about the LGBTQIAP+ community. The club aims to provide a comfort zone for students to talk freely about their struggles and experiences and help them accept and be open about who they are.
Our main aim is to break people's misconceptions and lack of awareness about this community and remove apprehensions. We created this club so that together, we can make it easier for the community to live. They can "come out" knowing that they have people who love and support them for who they are.
The club also endeavours to revamp the work environment at Shoolini, allowing students to be more comfortable with their identity and sexuality and receive inclusion and support from peers and professors. From Support Group meetings to club discussions, PRISM is an open platform to raise, discuss, and learn about issues surrounding the community. The club strives to provide mental, emotional, and physical support to LGBTQIAP+ youth, allowing them to learn more about the community and grow as individuals.
You don't need to be a part of the LGBTQIAP+ community to join our club. You're all we need as long as you support the community and want to work towards bringing about a positive change in society and increasing community acceptance. No judgement, no conditions — only support, love, and the passion for working towards it.
We want to be a part of this beautiful change towards a society with no differences, specifications, judging, labels, or tags, just humans and only love. This is what we believe and will continue to believe.
