Students can spend a year at Shoolini & Royal Holloway through the 1+1 programme
Royal Holloway, University of London, and Shoolini University, India’s top-ranked private university, have announced the launch of a transformative Dual Master’s Degree Programme, set to begin in the 2025/26 academic year.
According to the Memorandum of Agreement signed by the two prestigious universities, the Masters degree students at Shoolini University can transition seamlessly to Royal Holloway after completing the initial year of their studies in India.
Postgraduate students at Shoolini University will have the opportunity to spend a year at both Shoolini and Royal Holloway through the 1+1 programme. This unique arrangement enables enrolment in designated postgraduate courses at Royal Holloway, contingent on meeting specific entry requirements.
Students who complete the initial part of their curriculum at Shoolini University will be admitted to Royal Holloway. They will earn a degree from Royal Holloway, University of London, and an award from Shoolini University.

The Memorandum of Agreement provides for a 1+1 Masters programme in Biotechnology/Biosciences and Psychology programmes, allowing for subsequent expansion to other fields. Under the Agreement, students will undergo English language proficiency assessments to meet Royal Holloway's academic standards.
Royal Holloway welcomes international students, offering robust support services to facilitate their transition to academic life in the UK and help them excel in their studies. Support includes early move-in, complimentary airport pickup, and a comprehensive 'New to the UK' activity programme upon arrival. Additionally, the university's 'Home Away from Home' schedule creates ongoing opportunities for students to share and celebrate their diverse cultures and identities throughout the academic year.
Professor Sanders added, “Being part of a global education community is an important part of who we are and what we do – and something inspiring for Shoolini University and Royal Holloway communities alike.”
Responding to a question by mediapersons, Prof Atul Khosla stated, "We provide scholarships for underprivileged meritorious students and will support our students in gaining the best international exposure.”
