Solan, November 9
Shoolini University has been ranked the Number 1 Research University (Citations per Paper) in India and Number 9 in Asia as per QS Asia University Rankings 2023. Additionally, it has found a place in the 251-260 band in Asia and has become the 8th Private University with the 29th Overall Rank in India out of 118 Indian universities.
The 15th edition of the QS World University Rankings (Asia) 2023 featured 757 institutions — up from 687 last year, making it the biggest ranking in this region. The major locations represented included China Mainland (128 institutions), India (118), Japan (106) and South Korea (88), accounting for more than half of all ranked institutions.
Shoolini University was ranked in the 271-290 band last year. And yet again, it is the lone representative from Himachal Pradesh.
Talking about the recently released rankings, Chancellor Prof PK Khosla said, “We have not only improved our rank in the latest rankings but the university is bringing home laurels year after year. In fact, our citations per paper are more this year than the previous year.”
Shoolini University is progressively establishing itself as the country's top research university. In the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2023 announced two months ago, Shoolini found a spot in the 351-400 band in the world and became the No.1 Private University of India.
Shoolini University Founder and Pro Chancellor Vishal Anand said Shoolini University was competing well with top global universities. Once again, Shoolini has been named the best university in the region by QS Asia Rankings.
“We are looking forward to improving further in our mission to become the top 200 university in the world in the Times Higher Education rankings within the next three years,” said Shoolini University Vice Chancellor Prof Atul Khosla.
