
Ranks 96 worldwide, shines in SDGs; also among India’s top 4 in U.S. News Global Rankings
Shoolini University has achieved a landmark moment by entering the Top 100 globally in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2025. The university secured the 96th position out of 2,318 institutions worldwide — its best-ever performance in these rankings.
This is the first time Shoolini has entered the global Top 100, placing it among an elite group of only four Indian universities to earn this recognition. The university improved its overall score from 86.7 last year to 89.6 this year.
The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings assess universities based on their contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), measuring real-world impact in areas like climate action, clean energy, water conservation, and more. Shoolini delivered a standout performance across multiple SDGs:
- #1 in India | #38 globally for SDG 13: Climate Action – for its strong work in environmental sustainability and climate solutions.
- #4 in India | #21 globally for SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy – reflecting its efforts in sustainable energy research.
- #3 in India | #22 globally for SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation – highlighting its water conservation and sanitation projects.
- #3 in India | #95 globally for SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production – showcasing responsible use of resources.
- Joint #1 in India | #101–200 global band for SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals – underlining its international collaborations.
- #10 in India | #201–300 global band for SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being – recognising its role in healthcare and wellness.

Launched in 2019, the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings are the only global performance tables that assess universities based on their contributions to the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals — measuring not just academic excellence but also positive social, environmental, and economic impact.
Also Ranked Among Top Indian Institutions in U.S. News & World Report
In another significant achievement, Shoolini University secured the 4th position among Indian institutions in the latest U.S. News & World Report Best Global Universities Rankings. It ranked just behind IISc Bangalore, IIT Madras, and TIFR Mumbai, with a Global Rank of 667 and a Global Score of 47.7. This positions Shoolini as one of India’s top-performing private research universities on the global stage.
