PhD in Food Technology from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana; M Tech Food Technology from Lovely Professional University, Phagwara; & B Tech Food Technology from CSK Himachal Pradesh Agricultural University, Palampur.

Rajni Saini is an Assistant Professor in the faculty of Applied Sciences and Biotechnology at the School of Bioengineering and Food Technology. She completed her PhD in Food Technology from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana and holds an M Tech in Food Technology from Lovely Professional University, Phagwara. She received a B Tech in Food Technology from CSK Himachal Pradesh Agricultural University, Palampur. Additionally, Asst Prof Rajni Saini qualified UGC-NET in the year 2023.  

The academic journey of Asst Prof Rajni Saini is focused on bioactive extraction using various conventional and novel solvents, along with process optimisation. Her PhD work centred on developing and characterising phytochemical-rich products, contributing to advancing food technology.  

Asst Prof Rajni Saini has made significant contributions to her field, with publications in high-impact factor journals and various book chapters. Her research interests include exploring various extraction methodologies, novel green and safe solvents for extraction, novel processing technologies, product characterisation, and the complete value chain of processed products.
