Prashant Sharma
Assistant Professor
Prashant Sharma is an Assistant Professor at Shoolini University. He is an accomplished academic and researcher in Cognitive Psychology. He holds a PhD in Psychology from Aligarh Muslim University, where he worked as a Research Fellow. His doctoral research explored ‘Cognitive load and Mind wandering in relation to Cognitive control.’
Asst Prof Sharma has a strong academic background, having completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and Health Management (2017), an MA (Hons) in Psychology (2016), and a BA (Hons) in Psychology (2014), all from Aligarh Muslim University.
Before joining Shoolini, he worked as an Assistant Professor at Akal University and Sharda University. He has also worked as a Consultant Counsellor with CBSE (May 2021 – February 2022) and as a Psychologist with URlife, deployed at TCS (June 2022 – December 2023).
His research interests include attentional control, mind wandering, task behaviour, and cognitive ergonomics. He has presented his work at several international conferences, covering topics such as neural responses to emotional facial expressions, the impact of affirmations on emotions, and the spread of information among children.
