
Poonam Kumari
Assistant Professor
Poonam Kumari is an Assistant Professor at the MS Swaminathan School of Agriculture, with a specialisation in Agronomy. She completed her BSc (Hons) in Agriculture from Abhilashi University, Mandi, and earned her MSc and PhD in Agronomy from Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar.
Asst Prof Kumari has an active academic and research profile, marked by participation in numerous national and international conferences, symposiums, and training programs. She has contributed extensively to scholarly literature, with publications in reputed journals, conference proceedings, book chapters, and articles. In addition, she holds patents and copyrights, and is an editor for various journals and a book.
Her doctoral research focused on the effects of biopriming, putrescine, and calcium on the growth, yield, and quality of green gram, reflecting her commitment to advancing knowledge in sustainable crop production and agronomic practices.
