Mamta Chandel

 Mamta Chandel is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Biotechnology at the School of Bioengineering and Food Technology, Shoolini University. She completed her PhD at Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya, Palampur, HP. Asst Prof Mamta Chandel is UGC NET qualified and holds an MSc in Food Science & Nutrition. She also earned a Gold Medal in her undergraduate studies (BSc Hons in Home Science) from the same university.  

Her research focuses on standardising and evaluating oilseed and pseudo cereal-based nutritious bars for geriatric populations. Asst Prof Mamta Chandel has published numerous high-quality research articles in well-respected NAAS-rated journals. Her work demonstrates a profound understanding of the processing techniques employed for oilseeds and pseudo-cereal seeds.  

She teaches courses on nutritional requirements during the lifecycle, providing students with her expertise and hands-on experience in the field. Her practical approach to teaching, emphasising real-world scenarios, makes complex subjects simple and engaging for her students.  

Beyond her work at Shoolini University, Asst Prof Mamta Chandel stays informed about the latest advancements in nutrition research and developments. She avidly reads scientific publications and regularly attends workshops, conferences, symposiums, and seminars to keep up with the latest trends and broaden her expertise.
