Assistant Professor

Shivam Ubale is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Shoolini University. He is also the Co-Incharge of the Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF). He holds a masters degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Shoolini University and a Bachelors degree in Pharmacy from Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), Maharashtra. He has also qualified the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) with an All-India Rank of 485.

 

His research interests are primarily focused on the design and multi-step synthesis of novel Anti-cancer and Anti-microbial drugs. Asst Prof Shivam Ubale has accumulated high-level research experience at the CSIR-Institute of Microbial Technology (IMTECH), Chandigarh, where he contributed to the ‘PAN CSIR Cancer Research Project,’ focusing on the scale-up and optimisation of heterocyclic scaffolds. Furthermore, his tenure as a Research Intern at Panjab University involved significant work on the design and synthesis of Triazolo-Quinoline derivatives.

 

In his role within the Central Instrumentation Facility at Shoolini, Asst Prof Shivam oversees the operation, calibration, and troubleshooting of sophisticated analytical platforms, including HPLC, FT-IR, HPTLC, GC and UV-Vis Spectrophotometer. His technical repertoire is complemented by industrial training in Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at Advanced Enzyme Technologies Ltd. With an expertise in both synthetic organic chemistry with advanced instrumentation management he is focused on building a strong research culture and academic excellence at Shoolini University.
