Avichal Verma
Assistant Professor
Avichal Verma is an Assistant Professor at Shoolini University and an accomplished academician in Yoga Science. He earned his PhD in Yoga Science in 2024 from the University of Patanjali, Haridwar, where he also completed his MSc in Yoga Science in 2019. He holds a BSc from Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Ayodhya, and studied under the guidance of Swami Ramdev Ji, the renowned Yoga Guru and Founder of Patanjali.
A certified yoga teacher and dedicated researcher, Verma specialises in yoga, yoga asanas, pranayama, proprioception, balance, special senses, and locomotor disorders. His research has been widely recognised, with publications in Scopus-indexed, UGC-CARE, and other peer-reviewed journals. He actively contributes to the field by presenting his work at national and international conferences.
With extensive teaching experience, he offers courses on the fundamentals of yoga, yoga therapy, research methodology, and Indian philosophy and culture, fostering a scientific understanding of yoga among students.
Beyond academics, he has conducted numerous yoga camps across Indian colleges and provided specialised training to employees of various departments under the Andaman & Nicobar Administration. His expertise in Sanskrit, backed by a certificate and diploma from Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, Delhi, further enriches his teaching and practice.
