Aditya Baniyal

Assistant Professor

Aditya Banyal is an Assistant Professor at the School of Bioengineering and Food Technology. He earned his PhD in Biotechnology and a Master’s degree in Biotechnology from Shoolini University.  

Asst Prof Banyal’s research expertise lies in microbial fermentation, media optimisation, bioactive compound extraction, and bioprocess development. His work significantly contributes to the sustainable production of biopharmaceuticals and other secondary metabolites while spanning microbial biotechnology, natural product discovery, and environmental remediation. 

He has published several research papers in reputed SCIE/Scopus-indexed journals, including Current Microbiology, 3 Biotech, Biotechnology and Bioprocess Engineering, and Critical Reviews in Biotechnology. In addition, he has contributed book chapters published by Academic Press and Springer Nature and has also filed a patent for an eco-friendly method of preparing Vinblastine. 

 

Through his research and teaching, Asst Prof Banyal continues to advance innovation in microbial biotechnology and sustainable bioprocess development.
