Abhishek Kumar
Assistant Professor
Abhishek Kumar is an Assistant Professor at the Yogananda School of AI, Computer, and Data Sciences, Shoolini University, Solan, Himachal Pradesh. He holds an M Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Shoolini University, where he graduated with distinction, and a
B Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Bhai Gurdas Institute of Engineering and Technology, Sangrur, Punjab.
Asst Prof Kumar’s research focuses on Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Autonomous Vehicles (AVs), particularly in the domains of Explainable AI (XAI), Human–Machine Interaction (HMI), and Human-Centered Intelligent Systems. His ongoing research explores the integration of Generative AI frameworks with autonomous driving perception systems, aiming to enhance real-time interpretability and trust in AI-based decision-making.
He has published multiple peer-reviewed research papers in reputed IEEE and Springer-indexed journals and conferences, including work on generative models, cloud security, and human-centered AI frameworks for AVs. His contributions reflect a deep commitment to advancing ethical, interpretable, and context-aware AI systems.
Asst Prof Kumar has also worked extensively on developing real-time AI frameworks for perception and simulation environments, using tools such as YOLOv8, U-Net, and the CARLA simulator. His projects, such as Mensura (AI Calorie Tracker) and FitPrompt (AI Fitness & Nutrition Tracker), demonstrate his expertise in applying AI for productivity, health, and user-centric solutions.
His research interests include Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Explainable AI (XAI), Computer Vision, Autonomous Systems, and Federated Learning.
Beyond his academic endeavors, Asst Prof Kumar is passionate about AI for societal benefit and often engages in workshops and mentorship programs on AI applications, research productivity, and digital innovation.
