Vatika Soni

Vatika Soni is a Research Associate at the School of Advanced Chemical Sciences. She received her PhD in Chemistry in 2023 from Shoolini University. Her research focuses on the synthesis, structural engineering, and functional modification of metal oxide-based semiconductor photocatalysts and biomass-derived biochar for environmental remediation and sustainable energy applications. Her work emphasises photocatalytic pollutant degradation present in wastewater, CO2 reduction, and advanced oxidation processes, with particular attention to heterojunction design, doping strategies, and structure-property correlations.

She has authored 45 publications indexed in Scopus, with a Google Scholar citation count of 2,115 and an h-index of 21. Her research contributions center on developing efficient, stable, and scalable photocatalytic systems for wastewater treatment and solar-driven energy conversion.
