Himanshu Sharma

Himanshu Sharma is an Assistant Professor-cum-Senior Manager at the Office of Intellectual Property. He completed his LLM from Career Point University, Hamirpur, and earned both his LLB and BBA from Shoolini University. 

Before joining academia in 2020, he gained professional experience through apprenticeship with K&S Partners, Gurgaon, where he developed practical exposure to intellectual property practice and legal procedures. His professional interests encompass intellectual property law, corporate law, industrial compliances, innovation governance, and legal education, contributing to strengthening research protection and compliance frameworks within academic and professional ecosystems. 

He has worked extensively in managing patents, trademarks, copyrights, and design portfolios, while advising researchers and stakeholders on intellectual property strategy and commercialization pathways. His keen research interests lie in Intellectual Property Rights and Corporate Law.

With a strong commitment to student development, he teaches subjects including Intellectual Property Rights, Taxation, Land Laws, and Industrial Compliances, and actively conducts practical courses such as Moot Court, Drafting, Pleading, and Conveyancing to train students as future-ready lawyers and advocates equipped with both theoretical knowledge and professional skills. He has also designed specialised IPR training courses and regularly engages with developments in contemporary legal discourse, staying actively informed on the latest news, policy changes, and emerging trends in law, intellectual property, and legal education.

He holds professional certifications from Harvard University in Contract Law and from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore in Intellectual Property Rights. His engagements include prestigious platforms such as UNSDC for Social Changes and participation on national and international panels of the Sustainable Development Council, reflecting his commitment to advancing dialogue on law, innovation, and sustainable development.

 

He has been actively involved in academic initiatives, legal awareness programs, and mentoring students through research, mooting, and professional training. Beyond academia, he contributes to youth empowerment and legal outreach, demonstrating a sustained commitment to strengthening legal education and societal impact.
