MSc Zoology at Shoolini University focuses on the study of animal behaviour, structure and classification. The objective of this course is to build a strong background in faunal biodiversity, ecology, physiology, cell and molecular biology, cytogenetics, biochemistry, biotechnology, applied zoology, reproductive biology, morphogenesis and anatomy, microbes and immunology.
Our research-led methods of teaching paves way for entry into diverse careers, equipping students with advanced transferable skills in information gathering, analysis and presentation of vital tools in the field of science.

PROGRAM OUTCOME OR PROGRAM SPECIFIC OUTCOME
- PO-1: In depth domain knowledge: Development of knowledge and comprehension of the core information associated with the profession of life sciences including various aspects of animals including their diversity and habitat; morphology and reproduction; genetics and molecular biology; development and animal behavior. Awareness about relevant theories, paradigms, concepts, and principles in zoology.
- PO-2: Critical thinking and analytical abilities: Inculcation of scientific aptitude through analytical and critical thinking, developed by solving problems encountered during practical. Students will be able to find, analyze, evaluate, and apply information systematically and shall make defensible decisions.
- PO-3: Personality and skill development: Incorporation of communication and expression abilities for better amalgamation in the society. Along with specialized in-hand practical knowledge in biological research. Students will develop the ability to design, write and comprehend research reports, documents, and presentations, incorporating scientific temperament.
- PO-4: Interdisciplinary Perspective: Commitment to intellectual candidness and evolving tolerant beyond subject domains. Able to understand the relation with other domains like physical, chemical, environmental and societal as well as sustainability. Appreciation of diversity and inclusion of all domains of academics.
- PO-5: Environmental awareness: With special reference to Himalayas, students will be able to identify the impact of anthropogenic activities on environment as well as on society and the need for sustainable development. Analyze complex interactions among the organisms, their distribution and relationship with the environment.
