Pinky Satija is an Assistant Professor at Shoolini University. She holds a PhD and an MSc in Chemistry from Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Her doctoral research focuses on the synthetic exploration of organosilanes and organosilatranes, particularly emphasising triazole functionality and its diverse applications.
Asst Prof Pinky Satija synthesised numerous triazole-containing organosilicon frameworks using various methodologies, including Click Chemistry, Schiff base routes, and transesterification reactions. She characterised these compounds using spectroscopic techniques such as IR, NMR, TGA, and mass spectrometry. Additionally, she conducted comprehensive evaluations of their antioxidant activity and cytotoxicity. Her work also extended to preparing and characterising organosilatranes for potential application in Dye Sensitised Solar Cells.
Pinky Satija has collaborated with esteemed universities in Spain, Taiwan, and China throughout her academic journey, enriching her research perspective and promoting international ties. She has a prolific publication record in reputed SCI and Scopus journals.
Asst Prof Pinky Satija is a recipient of the DST INSPIRE Scholarship and INSPIRE Fellowship, as well as the INSA Summer Research Programme award, further highlighting her scholarly achievements.
As an educator, Pinky Satija excels in teaching subjects ranging from Metal-Ligand Bonding to Inorganic Spectroscopy. She is dedicated to shaping the next generation of scientists and inspiring them to explore the fascinating realm of chemistry.
