Shoolini Expands Global Footprint with Education Fair in Africa

In a significant move to expand its global footprint, Shoolini University’s Director of International Affairs & Professor at the School of Electrical and Computer Science Engineering, RP Dwivedi, embarked on a strategic mission to Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Ethiopia recently.

The journey commenced with Shoolini University’s prominent presence at the Study India Education Fair in Africa. It was held in Lusaka, Zambia, followed by Harare, Zimbabwe. The university’s booth attracted the attention of more than 400 prospective students, demonstrating the appeal of educational opportunities in India.

Taking Shoolini University’s mission to strengthen academic ties forward, Prof Dwivedi visited two key institutions in Zambia and Zimbabwe. Engaging with the University of Lusaka, Harvest University, the Catholic University, and the Women’s University of Africa, he laid the groundwork for Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs). These MOUs are designed to expedite collaboration and student exchange programs.

Ethiopia marked the final leg of this international tour, where Prof Dwivedi met with two universities, an institute, and a consultant. These meetings culminated in signing MOUs with all the entities, marking a significant milestone in academic partnership.

Shoolini University’s vision extends further, setting a goal of 50 admissions from Africa for the session. With a keen eye on nurturing academic excellence, the university aims to finalise the MOUs with Zambia and Zimbabwe within two months and activate the Ethiopian agreements within half a year.

These strategic meetings and successful agreements at the education fair in Africa emphasise Shoolini University’s commitment to internationalisation. They highlight the institution’s ambition to foster valuable global connections and mutual academic growth, reflecting a progressive stride towards a global educational ecosystem.

Shoolini University’s remarkable position as the No.1 Private University in India, according to QS World University Rankings 2024 and THE World University Rankings 2023, speaks volumes about its dedication to global education. Boasting strong ties with over 250 higher educational institutions across 28+ countries, Shoolini’s emphasis on international collaboration is evident. The Office of International Affairs (OIA) plays a crucial role in facilitating these connections, handling everything from partnerships and exchanges to support for international students and faculty. The OIA team’s commitment to top-quality service in various areas, such as visa affairs, insurance, housing, and academics, illustrates the university’s holistic approach to global engagement.
