More than 50 Vice chancellors of North Zone Universities, AIU officials, and dignitaries from NITI AAYOG, UGC, NAAC, are expected to participate in the conference. The University will also be organizing an exhibition show casing the University research, Innovation achievements and Policy Initiatives already taken on the implementation on SDGs.
The theme of the North Zone Vice Chancellors’ Meet is “Realizing SDGs through HEIs for ensuring Equality and Sustainable Society” covering interrelated SDGs-5, 10, 11&12.The discussions will primarily focus on the role of HEIs in the perspective of their contribution in achieving the SDGs. Besides, the meet will also discuss the global progress in achieving these goals; share knowledge, success stories and good practices; identify particular areas of concern and main challenges. The Meet will also identify the ways forward and follow up action to achieve these goals by HEIs, government and other stakeholders. The Action points for HEIs for Quality Education, Research, Innovation, Sustainable Community Development, Socio Economic upliftment and implementation by the HEI administration.
