PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVE
- PEO-1:Graduates will be skilled in carrying out independent research, showcasing their capacity to recognize research issues, plan experiments, and add to the body of knowledge in the field of biotechnology.
- PEO-2:Graduates will be able to demonstrate a strong capacity for critical thought, which will allow them to assess scientific literature, interpret intricate biological facts, and create original answers to biotechnology problems.
- PEO-3:Graduates will be proficient in the business facets of biotechnology, including project management, IP issues, and the capacity to convert scientific discoveries into marketable goods or services.
PROGRAM OUTCOME OR PROGRAM SPECIFIC OUTCOME
- PO-1:Disciplinary knowledge: The students are able to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and understanding of one or more disciplines such as Bioprocess engineering, statistics, microbiology, recombinant DNA technology; regulations with support of different allied subjects of Life Science; Physical Science. Understand how knowledge is created, advanced, renewed and applied in national and global context to solve the emerging issues.
- PO-2:Communication: Development of students’ communication skills is planned through seminar (English), which is compulsory for each student. Each student undergoes a rigorous personality development program through a special program call “Sprint”. Sprint program provides an opportunity to develop public speaking skills, reading, writing and effective interpersonal skills. Presentations in each paper enhances their confidence, and ability to express themselves and become part of debates.
- PO-3:Research-related skills; Students develop a scientific temper and a sense of enquiry through various biotechnology papers, seminars, and research work. They develop capabilities in asking relevant questions relating to current issues and themes and state hypothesis and rationale for inquiry. Students are capable of using appropriate research methodology, especially for understanding various aspects of biotechnology and reporting the results in different formats.
- PO-4:Cooperation/Teamwork: Students acquire skills to work as team player to solve the problem more effectively and timely manner in the classrooms, laboratories, industry set up and the community at large. They have basic management skills for independently organizing events, resource mobilization and leading community-based projects, initiatives, cultural shows etc.
