Sourabh Kulshrestha actively teaches UG and PG programs at Shoolini University. He is Professor of Biotechnology & Dean for Research & Development. A biochemist by training, he has received his PhD in Biosciences from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. Kulshrestha has also pursued two postdoctoral assignments--one from University of Kentucky, USA and another from Max-Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research Köln, Germany.
He is involved in research related to plant-microbe interaction and biocontrol agents and has successfully completed two research projects funded one each be DST and DBT, Govt. of India. Kulshrestha has also initiated work on water purification using plant material like Moringaoleifera (funded by HIMCOSTE) and is currently pursuing that in collaboration with Lanzhou University, China.
Kulshrestha is also pursuing a project on the use of microalgae for air purification and secondary metabolite production (funded by MicroAlgae Development Energy, New Delhi).
